Sizing Hints for Pants and Shirts
Sizing for Shirts & Pullovers
In general, our recommendations are do go with whatever casual polo shirt you wear. For example, if you wear a large polo shirt, you would go with a large basketball, football, soccer or baseball shirt for behind-the-plate (see more specifics on exceptions and umpire sizing near bottom of this page).
Shirt, Pullover and Jacket Sizes (Men)
Chest (inches) • S 34-36
• M 38-40
• L 42-44
• XL 46-48
• 2XL 50-52
Shirt Sizes (Women)
Chest (inches) • S 30-32
• M 34-36
• L 38-40
• XL 42-44
If your body measurement is borderline between two sizes, we recommend the higher size for a looser fit. However, see special considerations below.
Women's to Men's Shirt Sizes
Where women's shirts are not available, you will most likely be able to wear a men's shirt by ordering 1 size smaller in a men's size than what you would wear in a women's.
For instance, if you wear a Medium Women's T-Shirt likely a Small in the Men's shirt would be what you want. However, you'll want to use you best judgment based on your body size. Measuring Your Chest
With your arms relaxed at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the measuring tape level and parallel to the floor around both the chest and ribcage.
Men's Pants and Shorts Sizes
Waist (inches) • S 26-28
• M 30-32
• L 34-36
• XL 38-40
• 2XL 42-44
Measuring Your Waist Size
Our best recommendation is to pick a pair of pants that fits you well and use that size when ordering. Note that our fitted pants are not relaxed fit (have no "give").
To measure your natural waistline, wrap the tape so it intersects your navel. Keep tape flat, but comfortably loose.
What if I'm in-Between Sizes?
As a general rule, we recommend you go up 1 size on all pants where you are in between or unsure of sizing.
Measuring Your Inseam
Use a pair of pants that fit you well. Lay them flat on the ground with the side seam facing up. Use your hands to smooth and straighten front and back creases. Then measure the length of the inside seam from the crotch to the bottom of the hem.
When in doubt or for a looser fit, we recommend ordering 1 size up from your waist size. Because of the thickness and stiffness of patent leather belts, ordering 1 size up is strongly recommended.
For example, if you are a 37" waist size, the 38" belt should do. If you are a 38" waist size, the 38" belt may fit tightly and the 40" belt will fit more loosely (and with room to grow).
Belts are available up to size 60" as a special order.
